The Rolling Stones’ classic album ‘STICKY FINGERS’ Live in its Entirety

The Zoo, Brisbane – Saturday 27th August

The Soundlounge, Currumbin – Sunday 28th August

Starring Tim Rogers (You Am I), Ben Salter (Gin Club, Wilson Pickers) and The Honeysliders feat. Danny Widdicombe (The Wilson Pickers).

STICKY FINGERS was the first Rolling Stones album to reach number 1 on both side of the Atlantic when it was released in 1971. 2016 marks its 45th anniversary and to celebrate, local musician Danny Widdicombe and his band The Honeysliders have hand picked some friends to bring it back to life on the stages of The Zoo and The Soundlounge.

Supporting The Honey Sliders will be the emerging talent Dana Gehrman. Dana met Danny at his Campfire Sessions, an open mic night that he hosts at Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall in Petrie Tce.

Tickets $30 plus booking fee, oztix.com.au

It has been a while between drinks for The Verandah Sessions, but I’m pleased to share with you a video my good friend and band member, Chris Darbyshire and I made while exploring some of Queensland’s southern rainforests.

So… here’s a sneak peak of some new material I have been working on and am looking forward to laying down in the studio soon!

I often get asked by people, “how do you do it?” or “how did you first get started?” when referring to performing in front of a crowd… and it’s easy to forget how daunting it once felt to play music to your family, let alone a room full of strangers…

Last year I wrote an article for UberChord with some tips for beginner guitarists taking their first steps into the live performance world.
So if that’s you (and you’ve somehow stumbled onto my website) I hope it may help with your maiden voyage from the bedroom to the stage!

What a fun couple of months collaborating and creating with some new friends. It’s been an absolute pleasure to share the stage of late with Dan Poloni, Byron Short & The Sunset Junkies and Danny Widdicombe & The Good Ol’ Boys.  Looking forward to more fun times with these legends soon!

I’m absolutely over the moon to be selected as a finalist for the Queensland Music Awards with my song ‘Under The Wire’ alongside great company in the Country category.

Winners across the 24 QMA categories will be announced at the 2016 event, which for the second year running returns to the magnificent Brisbane Powerhouse on March 21.

Fingers Crossed.

Here’s some snaps by Scarlet Harlotte from the Country Conquers Cancer Show.

Massive thanks to Byron Short and Cam Milford for organising such a fantastic event. It was such a pleasure to share the stage with some of Brisbane’s best.

I’m honoured to commence 2016 as part of a very special show at The Zoo on the 28th January; Country Conquers Cancer: A Love Song For Garry R. Wood.

The show will see over 20 of Brisbane’s best Country and Americana artists take to the stage performing a mix of home grown originals and iconic covers, banding together to raise funds for friend Garry Wood and the Leukaemia Foundation of Queensland.

The last couple of months have been super, with shows at Eat Street Markets, Statler and Waldorf, Suitcase Rummage & a few sneaky appearances at Lefty’s Old Time Music Hall.  I’ve made lots of new friends and been introduced to some great new local music!! Time has come though for a little holiday… I’m jet-setting to Japan in search of the ultimate green tea ice-cream & guitar shops.
